NEW – Level 2 Certificate in Basic Maintenance

A new quality in Basic Maintenance is available from 1st February 2020.

This Level 2 Certificate has been developed with the support of members of the BAA and MPA and is for individuals who are non-maintenance employees such as plant or process operators, who also carry out some form of basic maintenance as a secondary part of their role.

This basic maintenance may involve cleaning, greasing or chasing simple components.

Failure to carry out these maintenance tasks safely has the potential to result in serious or fatal injuries, so the qualification has been designed to confirm competence in this area.

This qualification is not suitable for fitters or those candidates who carry out maintenance as their primary job role, they should continue to undertake the Level 2 Diploma in Maintenance.
